The LGC series is our most widely used series for general purpose 90/180 VDC brushed DC motor applications. This compact, non-filtered SCR drive series offers many user friendly adjustments. With the use of the on-board trim pots you can quickly set maximum speed, acceleration rate, deceleration rate, current limit, regulation, and minimum speed of your motor. With abilities to accept 115 or 230 VAC single phase power, run permanent magnet or field-wound motors, and by offering many NEMA packaging options, the LGC series can easily satisfy most of your motor driving needs.

The DCR series are microprocessor based, low voltage PWM drives that are capable of braking and reversing regeneratively. The microprocessor allows for custom programming to fit any OEMs custom needs, sometimes eliminating the need for a PLC and/or sensors. They can even be programmed for use in the field without trimmer potentiometers, creating a simple install and a level of security for OEMs. Some models contain a “sleep mode” which extends battery life, and some contain a Fault LEDs with a built in flashing code for under voltage, over voltage, current limit, overheat, and short circuit. With features like pre-charge circuits, brake outputs, directionally based inhibits, you’re sure to find a drive to fit your needs.

The RGA series of 4Q drives is well suited for applications that require the control of overhauling loads, frequent reversing or breaking. With on-board fusing and cage clamp power and logic terminals, installation has been made simple. Available in either open chassis style or in a NEMA 4X enclosure, the RGA series can be used in a wide range of environments. With the available field supply for shunt-wound motors, full assortment of adjustments that are standard on all our 4Q drives, and optional factory installed isolation module, the RGA series is a flexible and well equipped member of our 4Q family of drives.

The ACF series is a microprocessor based variable frequency drive. These drives look and act like DC drives, meaning quick and easy setup without any programming. These drives are equipped with user adjustable trim pots to set Max. Speed, Min. Speed, Slip Comp, Boost, TQ Limit, Accel and Decel / Injection Braking parameters. ACF100 series models allow 115 VAC in and 115 VAC out. ACF600 series models allow 230 VAC in and 230 VAC out, but are also equipped with a unique voltage doubling capability that allows you to run a 230 VAC motor when only 115VAC single phase power is available. While the input is single phase, the output can be single or three phase for all ACF series drives. The drive’s internal carrier frequency can easily be changed from 16kHz to 1.6kHz to minimize switching losses or reduce electrical interference. Stopping methods include coast to stop or DC injection braking. Incorporated into the design is a microprocessor which provides flexibility of creating custom programs that can include specific user setting for OEM applications. These full featured and compact AC drives are the perfect choice to run any 3 phase, and some single phase motors, rated at 4 amps or below.

The ACT series drive delivers the features and benefits of a microprocessor based drive and the low cost of a triac control. The ACT output is a variable voltage with a constant frequency, making it perfect for a small speed range control of a single phase AC motor, such as a permanent split capacitor (PSC), shaded pole, synchronous, and universal motors. Unlike other common triac drives, the ACT series drive takes advantage of single phase motor characteristics to provide approximately constant pressure in filtered fan applications, meaning as a filter becomes clogged, the motor will speed up to maintain airflow. The ACT series drive also has an internal closed loop circuit meaning the drive can maintain motor voltage during AC line sags or swells. It also accepts feedback in the form of a thermistor or voltage signal to create a PI loop.

The PMF Series is a variable frequency drive designed to run 115 or 230 VAC motors, whether single phase or three phase, at 50 or 60 Hz. With our "Doubler Mode", a 115 VAC line can be doubled to control 230 VAC motors. And unlike most variable frequency drives, the PMF Series will allows a 230 VAC output to be set with a base frequency of 50 or 60 Hz at 115 VAC. With the use of on-board trim pots, you can quickly set the maximum and minimum speeds, acceleration and deceleration rates, current limits, slip compensation, and DC injection braking an time. Each drive is designed with built-in isolation so it can be commanded with a wide range of analog inputs. The microprocessor based design means it can be modified to fit OEM specific applications.

The DCH series combines an AC to DC switching power supply with a regenerative PWM drive, creating an all in one solution to applications requiring control of 12 or 24 VDC motors when only 115 or 230 VAC power is available. The microprocessor design allows the drive to be programmed for custom applications or routines to meet an OEMs needs. With an isolated front end, this series is compatible with a 0-5 or 0-10 VDC analog from any PLC and with it's 8-bit on-board microprocessor, the DCH can be customized in many applications to even replace a PLC.

The DCN series of drives are reliable low voltage drives that provide both speed control and current limiting in low HP applications. Roughly the size of a quarter, these drives are being implemented in applications in which the customer traditionally powers the motor directly off a power supply or battery, which doesn’t allow for control or protection of the motor. The drive allows the OEM speed control of their motor, but also provides a current limit trim pot to protect the motor in the case of an overload or jam.

The ELC series is American Control Electronics approach to competition...by adding value. We've taken the LGC400-10 and kept the most commonly requested features; 115 VAC input for a 90 VDC permanent magnet motor. We've compressed the physical footprint of the drive to save space for customers who are mounting this units into panels. However, we kept the classic industry standard footprint that American Control Electronics created and is known for.

The LGD series of motor drives is a versatile and compact SCR drive designed for any 1Q application where a field output is not required. With most of the features offered by the LGC family of drives, the LGD series offers even more flexibility. Unlike the LGC series where it’s inhibit function is actuated by the closing of the inhibit terminals, the LGD series allows you to choose either to open or close to inhibit. Other user selectable features include inhibiting to zero or to minimum speed, and torque mode or speed mode operation. With the unit set up to run in torque mode, you can easily control the amount of current that is supplied to your motor via an external potentiometer, perfect for tensioning applications. This feature rich series is easily adapted to meet almost any application need.
