The Spartan Series features molded terminal blocks for primary and secondary connections up to 3000 VA or 30 amps. Coil face termination over 3000 VA or 30 amps. The Spartan series transformers are vacuum impregnated with polyester resin and oven cured and have a bolted core construction.

HPS Reactors are designed to address line-side issues associated with variable frequency drives. They mitigate voltage and current transients that can cause nuisance tripping of a drive. Reactors also minimize harmonic current levels within the drive supply circuit. When used on the output side of IGBT-based, PWM-type AC drives, HPS reactors reduce the motor operating temperature and audible noise by moderating line transients seen by the motor. Using HPS line reactors enhances the overall performance, life expectancy, and efficiency of the motor.

Buck-Boost Series Image
Buck-boost transformers offer an economical solution to the adjustment of line voltages that are slightly above or below normal. When a buck-boost transformer is connected as an autotransformer, only a portion of the load kVA is actually transformed. The majority of the load kVA is passed directly through to the source. For this reason a buck-boost transformer may be used to supply a much larger kVA load than is indicated on the nameplate.
Buck-boost transformers can be used to adjust stable voltages only.

Standard Drive Isolation Transformers, are designed to meet the rugged demands of both AC and DC variable speed drives and also provide the requried voltage change. The separate primary and secondary windings provide electrical isolation between the incoming line and the SCR load. The windings are designed to withstand overcurrent of 150% of the rated load for 60 seconds or 200% of the rated load for 30 seconds.
Drive Isolation Transformers are sized to match standard motor horsepower and voltage ratings. Standard sizes range from 5 to 600 HP in six standard voltages.
Sentinel G (Gen. 3) Series Image
HPS Sentinel G general purpose distribution transformers are rated for 600 volts and below. They are generally used for supplying appliance, lighting, heating, motorized machine and power loads from electrical distribution systems.
For applications involving non-linear loads, please use our HPS Sentinel K product line.

By using a RM series line reactor many line problems can be eliminated. Additionally, performance, life expectancy and efficiency of both the motor and the drive itself are significantly enhanced. Due to the care in the selection of core material with its optimum flux density, RM line reactors will not saturate under the most adverse line conditions.
