Motors
Electric motors are the backbone of modern automation. Motors convert electrical energy into mechanical energy, and the resulting motion and torque drives a load.

Motors come in all shapes and sizes and are found in a diverse range of applications like industrial fans, blowers, pumps, machine tools, household appliances, power tools, disk drives, conveyors, heavy machinery, robotics, and, more recently, motor vehicles.

For industrial applications, three primary motor types are most common: AC motors, DC motors, and servo motors. AC motors are driven by alternating current, and use electromagnetic induction to apply torque to the rotor. These motors can be single-phase, three-phase, and include several additional variations that serve different purposes. DC motors are powered by direct current, and use applied current and power to vary speed and torque. Servo motors are primarily used with position- or speed-control feedback systems needed for valves, machine tools, and other process systems.

The NAT Series offers fractional horsepower general purpose motors. The inverter-duty motors use a shaft slinger to keep moisture and contaminants from the drive-end bearing. In addition to the standard 1.15 service factor, the NAT series is suitable for 50 Hz operation with a 1.0 service factor. NAT motors have a NEMA 56C frame and are CSA certified for Canada and the United States.

The NT Series offers fractional horsepower general purpose motors. The motors are capacitor start with a shaft slinger to keep moisture and contaminants from the drive-end bearing. NT motors have a NEMA 56C frame and are CSA certified for Canada and the United States.

The WPMDC Series offers fractional horsepower DC motors. The motors provide high starting torque and a 20:1 speed range at constant torque. An extra set of brushes and brush springs are included. WPMDC motors have a NEMA 56C frame and are CSA certified for Canada and the United States.

Hyundai Crown Triton motors are EISA compliant premium efficiency general purpose motors with a wide variety of frames and mounting options. HHI motors are inverter ready, 10:1 CT/20:1 VT. Dual rated service factor 1.15 for 40 degrees C and 1.0 for 65 degrees C. Additional options include short shaft, F2 mount, part winding start, C-Face mounting, and NEMA design B explosion-proof enclosures. HHI motors are certified by the CSA for Canada and the United States and UL listed.

Hyundai Crown Triton motors are IEEE-841 compliant high efficiency general purpose motors. The series is inverter ready, 10:1 CT/1000:1 VT. Dual rated service factor 1.15 for 40 degrees C and 1.0 for 65 degrees C. CSA certified for Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D. Each motor is supplied with an IEEE-841 test report and five year warranty.

WO Motors are NEMA design D, oil well pump motors. The series is EISA compliant for high efficiency. A 1.15 service factor is standard in addition to 50 Hz operation with a 1.0 service factor. Three PTC thermistors are provided, one for each phase.

The WSS Series offers fractional horsepower, stainless steel, washdown duty motors. The inverter-duty motors use a shaft slinger on the drive-end bearing with double lip seals and O-rings on the endbells to eliminate moisture. In addition to the standard 1.15 service factor, the WSS series is suitable for 50 Hz operation with a 1.0 service factor. WSS motors have a NEMA 56C frame and the fan cooled models are CSA certified for Canada and the United States.

WWE Motors are high and premium efficiency general purpose motors with a wide variety of frames and mounting options. 1- 200 HP motors are inverter ready, 4:1 CT/10:1 VT. High efficiency models are EISA compliant. A 1.15 service factor is standard and 1-150 HP are suitable for 50 Hz operation with a 1.0 service factor. Additional options include short shaft, F2 mount, part winding start, 575 V models, and explosion-proof enclosures. WWE motors are certified by the CSA for Canada and the United States and explosion-proof models are UL listed.
